Night School: Pamphleteering with Luke Bulman

Studio-X NYC welcomes designer Luke Bulman, co-founder and director of the Baltimore- and Brooklyn-based Thumb Projects, designers of books and exhibitions for Princeton Architectural Press, Rice University School of Architecture, Archinect/Actar, the BMW Guggenheim Lab, the Architectural League of New York, and many other institutions, for the latest session in our Night School series.

Luke will present a short history of the pamphlet form, from Thomas Paine toPamphlet Architecture, followed by a hands-on session with straight edges, cutting blades, staplers, and glue, where you will learn how to make your own DIY pamphlets and zines from 11 x 17 paper. Please bring old magazines to cut up, collage, remix, and remake.
