There are two different Bread House Network workshop coming up this Saturday and Sunday. If you missed the last one, I really encourage you to try to go to one of these. Our Bread + Kitchen Music Series of the Bread Houses Network (www.breadhousesnetwork.org) events continue, and please invite any friends: Bread and Tango Evening,Sunday, march 11th, 6-8pm, MIMA Studio Brooklyn, www.mimabrooklyn.com, 124 Washington Avenue, : in the tradition of the “Bread and Kitchen Music” method developed by the Bread Houses Network in partnership with MIMA, this event will mix the rhythms of kneading with the rhythms of dancing in couples, exploring metaphors and experiences of joining opposites in bread and dance as much as in friendship and love.
Bread and Balkan Wooden Spoon Music, Sunday, March 18th, 6-8pm: MIMA Studio Brooklyn, 124 Washington Avenue, in the tradition of the “Bread and Kitchen Music” method developed by the Bread Houses Network in partnership with MIMA, this event will mix the rhythms of kneading with the rhythms of traditional Bulgarian and other Balkan folk music and dance, and in particular the unique Bulgarian “spoon dance” employing wooden spoons as musical instruments. Please, feel free to bring along any spoons you like and feel would be your appropriate musical instrument.

“Latin American Easter Breads”, La Marqueta, 115th str and Park Ave, this Saturday, March 10th, 12-2pm
Come and celebrate our Easter breads collective event following after our amazing turnout and excitement during the Christmas breads event in December 2011. We will make, bake, and break delicious sweet Easter bread preparing for the Easter celebration marking the rise of the hope for brotherhood beyond religious boundaries.
